Building Financial Futures Since 2018

We started with a simple belief: everyone deserves access to practical financial knowledge that actually works in the real world.

Our Journey Through Time

From a weekend workshop in Sydney to one of Australia's most trusted financial education platforms, here's how we grew by staying focused on what really matters: your success.

2018

The Beginning

Started with 12 people in a Castle Hill community centre. Marcus had just helped his neighbour avoid a terrible investment decision and realized how many Aussies were making costly financial mistakes simply because no one taught them the basics.

The Pivot Year

When everything went online, we didn't just move our workshops to Zoom. We completely rethought how people learn about money. Turns out, interactive case studies work better than lectures anyway. Our first online cohort of 150 students proved it.

Real-World Focus

We launched our practical simulation modules after seeing too many graduates struggle to apply textbook knowledge. Now students practice with real market data, actual bank products, and current Australian tax scenarios before risking their own money.

2024

Community Impact

Reached 2,800 active learners across Australia. But the number we're proudest of? 94% of our alumni report feeling "much more confident" about their financial decisions six months after completing our programs. That's why we do this.

2025

What's Next

This year we're launching advanced modules for small business finances and property investment fundamentals. Because financial education shouldn't stop at personal budgeting – it should grow with your ambitions.

How We Actually Teach Finance

Most financial education talks at people. We work with them. Every lesson starts with real situations our students face, then builds the knowledge they need to handle those situations confidently.

  • Case studies from actual Australian financial situations, not American textbook examples
  • Small group discussions where you can ask the questions that keep you awake at night
  • Practice exercises with real bank forms, investment platforms, and tax calculators
  • Follow-up support because learning doesn't end when the class does

We've found that people learn best when they can connect new concepts to their own financial goals. So whether you're trying to buy your first home or planning for retirement, our approach adapts to what matters most to you.

The Story Behind felcarimexos

I spent eight years at Commonwealth Bank watching smart people make preventable financial mistakes. Not because they were careless, but because no one had ever taught them how banking products actually work or what questions to ask before signing anything.

The breaking point came in 2017 when my neighbour Sarah almost invested her entire inheritance in a high-fee managed fund because the salesperson used impressive-sounding jargon she didn't want to admit she didn't understand. After I helped her find better options, she said something that stuck with me: "Why doesn't anyone teach this stuff in school?"

"We're not trying to turn everyone into financial experts. We just want to give people enough knowledge to spot the red flags and ask the right questions."

Marcus Thornfield, 2025

That's what felcarimexos is really about. We teach practical financial skills that help ordinary Australians make better decisions with their money. Not get-rich-quick schemes or complex investment strategies – just solid, sensible approaches that work for real people with real budgets and real goals.

Every course we develop gets tested with actual students first. If someone can't understand it after our explanation, we don't blame them – we rewrite the material. Because financial education should make things clearer, not more confusing.

Our next cohort starts in September 2025. If you're tired of feeling lost when people talk about interest rates, investment returns, or tax strategies, we'd love to help change that. Join us in Castle Hill or online – either way, you'll leave with knowledge you can actually use.
